Toast the almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
Boil some water over high heat in a large saucepan, add the green beans to the boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes or until cooked but still a bit crisp. Drain the water well.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the green beans then toss with almond slivers. Season with sea salt, and freshly cracked pepper to taste, and cook, stirring often, until the green beans are tender, about 2 minutes.
