Homemade Italian Seasoning

This homemade Italian seasoning is perfect for poultry, seafood, pasta, pork, marinades, croutons, and salad dressings.

Homemade Italian Seasoning

I just ran out of my Greek seasoning blend, but decided to make this homemade Italian seasoning from a recipe I found on Cubes N Juliennes.  I find making homemade dry rubs and seasoning blends is not only more economical, but it’s a great way to use up spices in my cupboard before they go bad.  Thankfully, I had everything I needed on hand and made this homemade Italian seasoning recipe within 5 minutes; it tasted fantastic on our grilled chicken.

  1. I don’t know why more of us don’t make seasoning blends-this is a great idea Pam. As you said fantastic idea to use spices we already have in our cupboards.

  2. I have been buying Italian seasoning for years but never thought to make my own. This blend is so much more fragrant and flavorful than the store-bought version! I doubled the recipe and gave some to my neighbor who is also a big fan. So handy to have on hand for pasta, chicken, and roasted veggies.
